I turn promising technologies into products that can be manufactured and sold. Director of Design + Innovation at Greenhill School and Head of Engineering at Blackbox Bio.
Two jobs,
one practice.
I work end to end: finding the problems people want solved, then designing and building solutions they love, with an eye on the bottom line throughout. Today I do that leading design and innovation at a school, leading engineering at a scientific instrument company, and building software from first idea to shipped product.

I am an innovator who has never stopped learning. Right now, that means mastering AI.
I started at Sensis and E Ink, then spent six years at SC Johnson and led new product development at J.W. Speaker. In 2013 I brought that engineering background into schools, because my father was a teacher and because I love working with students. I have always taught at least one course, because I believe the best engineers can explain what they built.
Every stage of my career began with learning something new: radar and optics, electronic ink chemistry, consumer products, LED lighting, then teaching. Today it is AI. I co-lead Greenhill's campus-wide AI rollout, and I design, build and ship my own AI tools, including TrialsFinder, Element Sports Scheduler, ShroudFox and Squirrel Away.
